Symptoms of Prostate Cancer


There are no specific symptoms in person who have a prostate cancer. However, some men will experience urinary symptoms which are secondary to an enlarged prostate gland. The patients can also have symptoms as a result of spread of the disease to other sites (metastasis) -

  1. Painful or burning during urination.
  2. Blood in the urine.
  3. Frequent urination, especially at night.
  4. Difficulty starting.
  5. Difficulty holding back the flow.
  6. Poor urine flow or flow that stops and starts.
  7. Urinary retention
  8. Pain in the lower back, hips, upper thighs, shoulders or other bones.
