• Throat is also called pharynx
• Pharynx is divided in 3 parts and the nasopharynx is one of these parts
• The nasopharynx is located behind the nose and is the upper 1/3rd of the throat.
• The pharynx starts behind the nose and goes down to the neck
• The pharynx is a hollow tube approximately 12.7 centimetres (5 inches) long.
