What is Nasopharyngeal Cancer?


  • Cancer that develop in nasopharynx is called nasopharyngeal cancer
  • It is also called nasopharyngeal carcinoma or NPC
  • The Epstein-Barr virus has also been linked to increased risk of developing nasopharyngeal cancer (EBV)
  • Cancer begins when cells in the body divided abnormally.
  • A tumour can be benign (noncancerous) and malignant (cancerous)
