CaRE INVOLVEMENT:  CaRE has developed a series of community awareness programmes to promote “Health Effects of Recycled Cooking Oil Campaign” in daily consumption towards the same community of KRT Taman Sri Serdang since 2012. It’s a continuous programme until 2015 to educate people to focus on used and recycled cooking oil by using different approach such as health campaign and carnival, seminars and talks, cooking class, pre and post short survey.

During this programme, our purposes are:
Holding a campaign: distributing information throughout flyers, pamphlet, one to one conversation

Objectives:

  1. To educate the community about the effect of overuse of cooking oil in daily life and the correct usage of cooking oil with regard to the cooking methods involving types of foods, cooking temperature, types of oil.
  2. Promoting healthy eating and good cooking methods to the community.

Target Groups:
The project focused on community groups such as consumers, housewives, food operators, UPM staff, high school students, primary and preschool students, and public.
